I am Stephen Edlund. I am the founder of Sawgrass Law, PLLC. I am delighted that you have taken the time to visit Sawgrass Law’s website and to learn more about this law firm and practice!
I have primarily centered my legal practice on corporate legal matters, representing businesses of all sizes in both in litigation and transactional work. Currently, I am in-house counsel for four Florida corporations. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of representing business and individual clients throughout the State of Florida in both in and out-of-court with:
- Automobile personal injury, dog bites/attacks, and premises liability
- Landlord-tenant disputes & evictions
- Employment discrimination practices/HR law
- Debt Collection/Breach of Contact
- Divorce matters
- Defending individuals and businesses when sued in a Florida civil matter
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the Florida Court System, like many Court systems throughout the country, had no choice but to overhaul their judicial appearance processes to accommodate the public safely in a socially distanced setting.
Although we are glad that the brunt of the pandemic is behind us, a new generation in legal access was born and has remained in place due to its phenomenal success promoting efficiency and access to justice.
Therefore, I built my practice to focus on a distance-based law firm so I can provide legal access to in all 67 Florida counties. In turn, this overhaul has drastically reduced legal fees for clients so I can pass the savings on to you, the client, by offering competitively priced legal services no matter where you are in Florida. Most especially, this new era of remote-based technology has opened up an avenue to assist some of the most rural and under-served counties and communities in Florida. As such, I welcome and embrace the latest and greatest changes to help you assert your rights using Florida’s court access platform and look forward to offering legal services throughout the entire state!
From time-to-time, it may be necessary to appear in court in-person, especially for depositions or trials.
If this is the matter at hand, you can be sure that I am willing to travel throughout the state if it becomes necessary.
